St Thomas History

St. Thomas was home to pirates long before European powers ever decided to form their colonies. The Danes colonized St. Thomas in 1666. In 1917 St. Thomas lowered the Danish flag and residents saluted the stars and stripes of The United States Of America. St. Thomas is only 12 miles long and 3 miles wide. The average summer temperature is 83°F, and the average winter temperature is 79°F.
